Roots, barks and rhizomes are plant materials with a distinct structure, aroma and character. This category contains denser plant parts that can be used for infusions, decoctions, herbal blends, tea compositions and culinary applications.
This is a complementary category to leafy herbs, flowers and petals. Roots, rhizomes and barks are more compact than delicate leaves or flowers and therefore require a different preparation method.
